About this place
In the mood for an easy bowl of gyumeshi, or something like curry or loin katsu? At Matsuya Meidaimae, it is easy to choose a dish to match. Alongside classic gyumeshi, the menu includes spicy negi-tama gyumeshi, topped with plenty of spring onion, and refreshing oni-oroshi ponzu gyumeshi. It suits a familiar order as well as a change of flavour.
For curry, choices include spicy curry and European-style beef curry, as well as curry topped with loin katsu. Karegyu combines gyumeshi and curry, making it an option when you want a substantial meal. Set meals include loin katsu, uma-toma hamburg steak and demi-tama hamburg steak. Some hamburg steak dishes come in single 100 g or triple 300 g portions, so you can choose your preferred serving size. There are plenty of alternatives if you fancy something other than a rice bowl.
One diner reports that the Meidaimae branch is a large location shared with Matsunoya and My Curry Shokudo, adding to the range beyond gyumeshi. Breakfast is available, and the restaurant is open 24 hours a day, making it an option for an early meal or a late-night bite. You can eat in or take your food away, whether you are dining solo or prefer to bring your meal with you.
